The Merchandiser Group Named NFMA’s Official Flea Market Vendor Publications Bethel, CT, February 25, 2010 – The Merchandiser Group magazines have been named the official vendor publications of the National Flea Market Association (NFMA). The NFMA’s prestigious member markets across the United States will now have unfettered access to top product sourcing information, news and business strategies for independent retailers. The Merchandiser Group, which consists of three regional magazines, has been serving flea market and swap meet vendors for more than 25 years.
Scott Sumner, President of Sumner Communications, Inc., parent company of The Merchandiser Group, expressed his enthusiasm for the new sponsorship, saying, “We are pleased to embark on this new business relationship with the NFMA. It is a considerable opportunity for The Merchandiser Group to expand its reach to an unrivaled number of qualified wholesale buyers and independent retailers, and to assist the NFMA in its mission to unite flea markets and grow its prestigious organization.”
This partnering of the two biggest names in the flea market industry should prove beneficial for wholesalers, vendors and consumers alike. At a time when much of the retail industry is struggling, the flea market and swap meet industry is flourishing.
